Probably most accurate with my S&W 1076. This was the first handgun issued to the FBI after the Kendall shoot out. I was present during the shoot out and Director Sessions came to Miami to hand the agents on the scene that day our new pistols. Several years later that handgun was recalled by Smith and we were issued an altered version of the 1076. I don't know what was altered, but it was an internal part. Anyway, Smith gave us the option to purchase the guns that were recalled and I did so. That being said, ever since 1992 when first issued the 1076, I qualified with it quarterly until I retired in 2004. Since then I've qualified with it at least once a year, sometimes twice

A Ruger Mark 1 22/45. Got a bull barrel and upgraded sites. I shoot it better than the rest because I've literally put several thousand rounds through it over the last 40 years or so. It shoots anything you run through it from the cheap stuff to match rounds.

Accuracy has nothing to do with a particular model. In close quarters, reaction time matters. I have a carry license here. And I carry a glock .40 cal. It's reaction time.
At 10 feet, or 10 yards, drunk out of my mind, I will put two in the forehead and two in the chest.
Give me any high functioning hand gun with clean sights. I won't miss.

I never understood the 40 caliber. I figured there isn’t enough difference between 40cal and 45acp
So I gravitated toward 45acp. I don’t think I even own a 40 cal. Maybe one I bought many years ago.
Well that’s just my 2 cents.
You folks please have a safe and productive day. Bless you all.

The 40 cal I carry has almost zero recoil that you can't handle, my little tiny 40 cal glock carries a 13 round magazine, and small enough to fit in your front pocket. Seems to me now, that it's stupid to carry it. No one, including the cops, carry weapons where I live. Funny but true story, my wife and I are very separated. Not a girl you want to meet when she's dtinking. Gave her my 228 9 mm. Which she carries, legally. I laugh at the next dude who crosses her.

I have been told that the Sig has a smoother slide and is easier for a lady to rack. My friend outfitted his wife with one for that reason.

My four girls from the states, are all friends with me to this day. All have CWP, all carry a Sig 228. That is something that I'm especially proud of.

With my fading eyesight any target session is a waste of time. Anything I go for in future will be in a nose to nose confrontation. I dry fire practice a lot but without actually pulling the trigger - making sure I line the sights up with what I'm looking at.

I have a Springfield 1911 A1 V12 that I'm most accurate with at the range. For whatever reason whether it is the ported barrel or a mind thing (because it is my favorite range gun) it is easier to stay on target.

The last time I brought my Father to the range we took a variety of guns. He shot absolutely amazing with a 1911. Walked upstairs and bought him a brand new model. He loved it.
He will be gone 2 years next month. I miss him more than ever now.
Guys enjoy your family while you can. Life is not forever. Family is the absolute best thing we have.

That is unbelievable. Not for self defense with only one shot. The recoil looks insane. I love guns but I can pass on that one.
