New $20 minimum wage will result in mass layoffs and restaurants will struggle to make robot workers workable and profitable.
I guess the businesses will just factor in the new cost.. isnt that what all you minimum wage proponents say?
Truly stupid is as stupid does.... more failure of feel-good policies, they cause more harm than good but the dogooders are too blinded by their own ego they dont realize they hurt those that most need the jobs.

Payroll is always the most obvious expense when running a business. It's always the first thing that gets cut to save money. Question is: who is the money being saved going to? Higher prices reflect overhead and cog as well as excessive profit. Shareholders are only interested in one thing, profit. Business, like life, is a series of ebb and flow. Our society needs instant gratification. All of this creates pressure on wages. Most of all greed is the culprit.
