Glad you're on the mend buddy. Brandon Regional ? Yes.... I felt like I got very good care there.. Glad to hear it, it can be hit or miss there. I know this both professionally and from personal experience. HCA facilities are usually a mess.

Yes.... I felt like I got very good care there.. Glad to hear it, it can be hit or miss there. I know this both professionally and from personal experience. HCA facilities are usually a mess. I know their reputation as well. But generally I have gotten good care there.. Plus when Hillborough County Fire Rescue loaded me up, they did ask me which hospital I wanted
to go to. But I was in such distress with my breathing at that moment, that I was not in a position to say Tampa General or St Josephs.....
I pretty much had my own doctors once I was admitted. The Practice my Primary Care Doctor is at, has attending/hospitalists at Brandon, My Hemotologist either came himself or his associate came every day to address my crashing platelets. And since I have sleep apnea, I have a Pulmanologist because I have sleep apnea. So I had them helping with the acute respiratory issues.. .
But I found the nursing staff, techs, lab, respiratory people. Very capable, attentive and competent.
Now what I expect.... Given it is an HCA facility is a bunch of BS with billing etc. But I have good insurance and good coverage with low deductibles, co pays etc.. BCBS of Michigan. Every time my wife or I have been at Brandon there has been some billing drama. But it has always worked its way out and I do not pay shit until I am comfortable that things are correct.
I was a little surprised that I never saw anyone from admitting or no one tried to collect my ER Co pay while I was in there..... I kind of think it was because I had both Influenza A and B... Even Food Service did not come into my Room. They left my meals outside my room and either the nurses or nursing assistants brought my food and removed the trays when I was done.
Overall they seemed to take the infection risk very seriously..... They changed my bed sheets twice a day. sprayed down and sanitized the walls what seemed constantly..... I was in a single bed room and there was a privacy curtain between the bed and the doorway (door stayed closed at all times) They changed that privacy curtain daily.....
