I will say I have noticed a cell cam hung at the gate of a couple WMa entrances. Might just be spot hogs wanting to keep tabs on other hunters. But also seems like a convenient way for the officers to know when hunters are using the area. I always just smile and wave at any trail cam. Anyone know anything about them using trail cam surveillance.

They run plates on cars all the time and know who is in the woods. We own 80,000 acres in mid-fla and 50,000 acres in the panhandle. 20,000 acres in Thomasville. 30,000 acres just outside Albany. I've never seen any law enforcement of any kind. Ever. You have any daughters or sons to Marry off?

No sir. They clipped me at 19.
For good reason.
We, our family and friends, acquired land and mostly donate it. If you want to hunt on it, contact me via DM. Or dcampo2@gmail.com. I'm not afraid to post my name, or contact info.
Have I been in jail? Yes. So look me up.
My family acquired a bunch of property. We are aligned with a bunch of other well-to-do folks.
I really don't care about it now. I have excellent teams that run the properties. I hired all of them.
Hire the best people and forget about it.

Said thye have cell cams out and have been only a couple minutes too late a couple of times.

I drive thru the middle of 2 wma’s 2-4 times a day. FWC presence is a fraction of what it was 10 years ago. On the water is a different story, plenty there. In the woods, not so much.

They run plates on cars all the time and know who is in the woods. This is all I can hope for, but I doubt it's very prevalent. I can send them pics of guys illegally riding ATVs on WMA lands and won't even get a response. I've also only been checked once in my adult life.

From what I understand, recently a lot of our FWC officers have been stuck patrolling the borders checking newcomers for their “hunting licenses”… I did see one on the opening day of Spring Turkey. He was very professional and polite. I'm good buddies with an FWC officer here. Since the middle of last year he's been in Texas a lot more than he's been home.

In the last few years I’ve never seen one on foot. I’ve seen them driving around holy land and turner river trail. Besides that, I only see them at check stations. I met a guy who drove off the main trail at corbett and said an officer found him and gave him a ticket. He asked how they found him and they told him they have cameras set up all over the place.

Funny start fishing in Federal waters, and you will find our FWC. Been checked more in federal waters than state waters. It is a money thing. State agency paid to enforce a federal rule.

The AR's are far more effective than FWC presence
