Doesn't seem to be a inland bass fishing section. I drag the boat over to a friend's in Port St. Lucie and we run up to Headwaters Lake near Fellsmere. Interesting place. Anyone else fished it?

I been to stickmarsh once - caught an alligator on a rubber worm. Didn't know enough about the area to actually catch bass. Haven't been back - long drive.

It is for me also. Old time basser Roland Martin does YouTube videos from there almost weekly. If it ever cools down a little I'll give it another try.

I'm mostly a saltwater guide but occasionally we work all the way up into sweet water areas from Flamingo or Chokoloskee.. Within the past year I've added trips for peacock bass locally (western areas of Broward county mostly.... Here's a few pics.... double header.. The new Headwaters section a totally different deal. May be the big bass area of the nation. Lots of catch and release regs plus circle hooks required for live baits At times when you return to the only dock a guy with a clip board will meet you doing a creel survey.

Big knotty head bream. A6 foot gator came from a ways off and hissed at me when I threw far away from him. Please NEVER feed them anything.
