Well I was about to head to the farm but while loading up some gear I appear to have pulled my back. I'm cold sweating right now as the lower right side of my back feel like I have an ice pick in it. Couldn't have happened at 4pm on a Tuesday nope. Had to happen at 4pm on Friday. Going to see if I can work this out enough to drive 3 hours. Pre-rut is on so I need to be in the blind this weekend What County do you hunt in ? I'm in Taylor and the rut is fixin to cut loose. I'll be in the woods for the next 4 days or so. Good Luck fellow Hunter...Good Luck.

This might be the last day to take a dunk in the "plunge-pool".
At 90 and above, it's a treat. Cooler temps, ... not so much.
( The screen room erected overhead keeps out the sun and the bugs. )
The term "plunge pool" must have been devised by a real estate agent.
It sounds better than "repurposed pond suitable for human habitation".
Whether intended for folks or frogs, it does have drainage, plus an overflow.
( Probably dates to 1930, the history jocks say it began as a 2-place outhouse. )

Yesterday, I tried to work on my moms/wifes Hyundai. This morning, I took it to the dealership in Ocala. I broke a impact adapter, a 3/8 ratchet , a breaker bar and almost my left hand. It’s a hybrid, no spare, no jack and took over an hour to get it up on ramps to get the floor jack underneath. No jacking points, all plastic. This one is going bye/bye very soon.
In the meantime, I’m putting up 24# of deer burger.

Mapper, what cut of meat is that, as I've never seen a 8 lb London Broil (although I know that is more of a way to cook the meat instead of an actual cut)? Is that part of a brisket you cooked? Looks good regardless and would like to see some photos when sliced.

Trimmed up more tropical plants around our pool deck on the other side than I worked last weekend. Fortunately I ran out of garbage cans to fill, so I had to stop.

I had over $300 in parts, Momma went and returned everything and dealership did it for $550. They also replaced a speed sensor that had the dashboard lit up.(under warranty) I always try to save a buck, I’m just short on time these days.

Finally, on a whim, made an appointment at Publix for the shingles vaccine. Went 20 minutes later and got it. Will have to go back in around two months for the second one, but my GP has been telling me for years I should get it. Not sure why they just don't give it to me during one of my checkups every six months?

Not sure why they just don't give it to me during one of my checkups every six months? The insurance and drug companies are trying to move people to pharmacies for vaccines since it is cheaper than the doctor doing them. That was what my doctor told me the last time I had the flu shot due and they could not get any vaccine.

Hall, Traveling Wilburys, Grateful Dead, Gordon Lightfoot, Roy Orbison.......and....finished it off with Grace doing White Rabbit.....woods are getting beautiful......

Bonfire at the Hunt Camp next door last night... Just a couple 3 or 4 older guys telling lies and laughing and acting the Fools. Beer , Bowls , Bourbon..It was a good night. Slept in today, was suppose to go deer hunting but 91 degrees high and a woods full of skeeters made me sleep in , have a big breakfast and slowly work around the land today. Tomm. still hot as hades so most likely do the yard thing again. End of the week , rain and cooler temps ..I'll be in the woods again. It's right behind my house so why not.

Flew back from Key West this morning after 3 days and 4 nights of fishing, lobstering and too much partying. This afternoon tried to get caught up on work but my brain is still kinda foggy so didn’t get a whole lot done. Tomorrow is going to be a long day at the office, but it was a fun and successful trip so worth it.

My wife and daughter went to St Augustine for a concert so I took the boys to the woods to check the dove field and fill feeders. Then I watched the Bucs game as long as I could stand it, then we went fishing. Caught some trout, reds and snook, and a bonus 50# tarpon. Was a good day.

Pressure washed the boat bottom. Waxed the sides, serviced both engines. Bottom paint will have to wait - driving up to St. Pete to start rehabbing the apt.

I go back in next week and know they will be doing four biopsies and a bunch of freezing. A couple of the spots I suspect are squamous and will require MOHS
